Adept Manager (Manage Pakages)

I try to install SKYPE and suddenly after that i didnt able to go ADEPT MANAGER.    I go to ADEPT and add third party one which called ..../skype/debian..                         something like that. HOW CAN I CHANGE IT TO DEFAULT SETTINGS.RIGHT NOW I LIKE TO FORGET SKYPE AND GET MY ADEPT INSTALLER BACK O PLEASE HELP ME.I NEW TO LINUX JUST EXPERIMENTING WITH IT  THANKZZZZZZZZZZZ

I don't think that the

I don't think that the inability to use Adept is related to the repository you added for Skype, but if you want to remove the repository without using Adept, you should use any editor to edit the /etc/apt/sources.list file.  In that file, you'll see the line you added for Skype.  Remove it and save the file and you'll be back to where you were before.Remember, in order to edit the sources.list file, you must be using sudo (acting as root).

HELP ME

I'm new to linux Can you expalin it little bit PLEASE

I don't know if you're using

I don't know if you're using Ubuntu or Kubuntu.  In Ubuntu, you get to a terminal and enter the command:sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.listIn Kubuntu, the command is:\sudo kwrite /etc/apt/sources.listWhen you do that, gedit (or kwrite) will open the file.  At the bottom of the text, you should see your Skpe repository line that you added.  You can delete that line, or you can even just put a # character at the beginning of that line (when a # character is at the beginning of a line, it is ignored in the program because it is considered a comment).  Either way, you should then do File/Save.  Now your repositories are back to where they were before you made the change. If you still have a problem with Adept after

Let me try again to format

Let me try again to format the commands so that they're readable:

Ubuntu:

sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list

Kubuntu:
sudo kwrite /etc/apt/sources.list
