My Ubuntux Toolbar

You maybe saw it, you maybe don't... effectivebrand let you create a toolbar for a community. (you need IE but with IEs4Linux it was not a problem at all).It has some fun functions...Well.. just look at the forum post: http://www.ubuntux.org/ubuntux-toolbar

Installing KDE and XFCE

Just like in breezy i wanted to install kde trough synaptic. It was a breezy :p.But then i saw that when you add the universe server, xfce (xubuntu) is also simple to install! Now i have these WMs:- GNOME- KDE- ICEWM- FLUXBOX- ENLIGHTMENT- WINDOW MAKER etc... (I know i forgot a lot of them...)

Installing open-suse 10.1/fedora core 5

The 1st Distro i ever installed and used was suse 10.0 ... So now i used ubuntu for about a half-year it was time for me to uninstall windows and dualboot with suse 10.1 i thought.Well the installation look nice, i didn't see any difference with 10.0 (only the booting). But when i installed my system (i choose to install a base gnome system) the trouble begon.Possitive aspects of Suse -> Ubuntu:- Uses YaST2, what is a GREAT Conf tool!Negative aspects:- You cannot change the loginscreen graphically.- You use RPM, so no apt-geting here.- And a lot of other things. It just was (i think) less freedom then in Linspire... So i tested my other cd that i have left... a Fedora Core 5 install cd.So i 1st cleaned up the partition of suse, put the cd into my cd-player and...NOTHING! it just followed up to the GRUB screen.. and booted with ubuntu...Now i am still searching for a rpm distro...
