cd recording problem

with Ubuntu 7.10, serpentine will not recordseems like it does not recognise a blank cd in the drive,but the cd is recognised by the OS, and puts a icon on the desktop and shows CD as empty.HELP, PLEASE.

cd recording problem

Because I use Kubuntu and not Ubuntu I use K3b  instead of Serpentine. For a while K3b in 7.10 behaved the same. I first moved copies from my desktop to my laptop and burnt them  there. Then I found that by opening K3b through the terminal it behaved. Try opening a terminal and inputing: sudo serpentine
