Common Problem: Wifi

This question has been asked and answered in at least two other places in these forums, so I'm reluctant to raise the issue again despite my lack of success with these solutions.Since I installed Ubuntu 8.0.4 on my Compaq Presario laptop with Broadcom BCM4318 Airforce One card, I've been able to set up wireless internet access. This Page (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=190177) looked promising (despite having been written for Ubuntu 6.06), but I'm unable to find the BCMWL5.sys and .ini drivers it calls for. The question: Has anyone had success with this method? If not, and if you have any advice, I'm all ears. Thanks in advance.

Get the drivers from here:

Success!

I had to use the "Windows Wireless Drivers" app to get these drivers installed, and engage in a lot of trial and error. But it's working! Thanks,--HFz
