edgy eft installation probloems

I made the cd exactly how ubuntu.com said, put the cd in,restarted the computer,ubuntu menu came up and i selected install, and then it started loading ubuntu,but then it said unable to read page and then it came to a black screen that stated about 10 times "user not known to the underlying authentication module. WHATS THE PROBLOEM?????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!???????????!!!!!!!!!!!
