How to configure USB Mobile CDMA Modem
I am trying to connect internet through my Alcatel USB Mobile CDMA Mobile (Qualcomm USB Modem 3197). By using ScanModem tool I found the following message:
ID 05c6:3197 Qualcomm, Inc. CDMA Wireless Modem/Phone

USB modem not recognised.
Please help me regarding this issue.
Configuring CDMA Modem
If you search ubuntuforums.org for CDMA modem and wvdial there is a wealth of information on how to setup usb CDMA modems. I used the information on there to setup my Ubuntu intrepid box to use my motorola q CDMA cellphone as a usb modem. It worked like a charm.
