How to install JRE?

I'm running Ubuntu 7.04, and I need to install a java runtime environment (JRE).  I'm a newbie, and I have no idea how to do this.  Would one of you gurus out there be willing to post a simple, clear step by step "how-to" that I can follow?  I'd really appreciate the help.PV

See "How to Install Java Runtime Environment (JRE) in Ubuntu" at http://www.ubuntugeek.com/how-to-install-java-runtime-environment-jre-in-ubuntu.html  The important thing is that it is available from the multiverse repositories.
