I am a complete linux newbie. I have tried Fedora Core 3, Debian Woody, Mandrake, Suse 9.1, Red Hat (a long time ago). Ubuntu is the only Linux Distro that worked right away "out of the box" (so to speak). All hardware recognized and works fine, all pre-installed applications work perfectly.
