nis server setup problem

i have nis server i have configure export file and start the service portmap,nfs services. also conf network and yp.conf file then i have tostart the ypserv. but error is this service is unrecognise.therefor i used ypbind service after that error is this domain not bound. i dont know where is problem and what do i do.. plz help me this my problem.
