5 Firefox Add-Ons That I Suggest You Have To

All add-ons that I have reviewed here, I have been using for a long time. So indirectly I am responsible with what I write here :(
Therefore, what would I write here is really my opinion about these add-ons.

  1. DownThemAll!
downthemall firefox add-on This add-on very useful when you download something from internet. Like other "Download Manager", DownThemAll! support segmented download, resume download and other feature such as:
    • Have all the files you want with just one click
dTaOneClick downloads the files of a page using the last filters and the last renaming mask you set. Just go to download page that you want to download the content, and download it! Or you can right click on download link and select dTaOneClick!
    • Increasing download speed
As I mentioned before, segmented download! It's increase download speed very significantly. On DownThemAll! official website, its said "This maximized use of bandwidth increases average download speed up to 400%." WOW!!! What is clear, I can assure you if you use this while on the LAN or WAN, the bandwidth will be yours for all: D

And much more! It was only two advantages that I think could be considered for use. One thing that be the point is, you don't need to install it on your OS, because its an firefox add-on!

  3. Xmarks
Buy a new computer? Or maybe just reinstall the OS? And what about your firefox bookmarks? What about the password is already saved? Does that mean you have to start from scratch again? The answer is not if you use Xmarks!
The main function of Xmarks is synchronizing data of Firefox we have. So that when we use "another" Firefox (eg: after re-install the OS), we only have to synchronize and all data will be back :) Interestingly again, Xmarks not only can synchronize bookmarks, but the saved passwords and opened tabs also can be synchronized!
    There are still other features:
    • Smarter Search
Xmarks gives us the ability to review and to rate the websites we have visited. The results of all review from all Xmarks users will be shown on Google search result, so we can see what site are best based on another user reviews.
    • Site Info built into your browser
Just click Xmarks icon on right of your address bar, and it'll show you all reviews about site that you are on :)
    • Cross browsers
Xmarks official website says: "Today we support Firefox, Chrome, Internet Explorer, and Safari (Mac OS)." GREAT!!! What a great...
  4. Downloadhelper
Tool for download video content from a website (eg: youtube.com). There are so many plugins similar like this. But in my personal opinion, this is the best due to the following reasons (certainly based on my experience using this add-on):
    • Support many of "video based content" website
There so many supported website, not only youtube. It can download videos from "xxx.com" as well too (you now what I mean, LOL)
    • Simple to use
When any video content detected, icon on the left of your address bar will be animated. You click it, choose format that you want to download and download will start immediately!

And so much more, just install it and you'll know it by yourself :)

  5. Greasemonkey
Greasemonkey is a Firefox extension that allows you to customize the way webpages look and function. Greasemonkey not work alone, its just add-on that load script on a predetermined webpage that've loaded in your browser. Such was not easy to understand, so just install it and you'll see the results! You can find a lot of scripts collection at userscripts.org for free.
For example, there are 2 scripts that I've used : (click the name to install, you must install greasemonkey first)
    • FFixer
Enhancements for Facebook: bigger profile pictures and photos, easier viewing of albums, links to download videos, showing people's age and sign, google calendar integration, bookmarks, keyboard shortcuts & more. Fully customizable!
    • Youtube Enhancer
Download Link + Quality Selector + Rollover Preview + Media Controller + Media Resizer + More... I like this script, best script ever!
  6. SkipScreen
Simple add-on that helps you download from "waiting" hosting file server like: Rapidshare, Megaupload, etc. It's will handles download for you. Just open the link and you can leave that page open to open another site on new tab. SkipScreen will automatically download the file on the time given by the hosting file server. Never download music without it :D

That's all 5 add-ons I've used on my Firefox. Hope you'll like these software too. Leave comment please, about your opinion or something. Or maybe you want to suggest me an add-ons?
