How to install Visual Basic Express 10 in Ubuntu Unix 10.10 without virtual box .
First: Ubuntu is "Linux" a Unix derivative not "UNIX". If you are serious about this question help is more likely forthcoming through using correct terminology. My first thoughts were that you were trying to insult the "community".
How do you plan to use it on the system?
Seems impractical to run windows programming language on Linux. Probably like trying to breed cats and dogs.
It's not in the repositories..."LOL" which means a lot of work either getting WINE to run it or ??? The questions just doesn't make sense to me but I'm limited in programming understanding. And then again I know nothing about
VBE except it is Monopolysoft ware.
Oooops I should have done some research.
I did a Google search on the subject and the links I got imply there is how to to do it.
I know there are plenty of programming tools out there, but if you're wanting a good alternative to Visual Basic, under Linux, you should take a serious look at Gambas (http://gambas.sourceforge.net). It's a very good tool, and very complete, and very similar to VB in structure and syntax.
