Heyall, was wondering if anyone has had any experience with new AMD FM1 Motherboard and processor....? I'm wanting/needing to rebuild soon cuz I had one cap. on my 10 YO motherboard explode. No system instability yet but learned with another recent pc loss that caps go one by one and sometimes in groups until it all fails....
Just wondering if Linux will have MB drivers for this arrangement?
The Gigabyte GA-A75M-D2H AMD A75 board says: "Remark
1. Due to different Linux support condition provided by chipset vendors, please download Linux driver from chipset vendors' website or 3rd party website.
2. Most hardware/software vendors no longer offer support for Win9X/ME/2000/XP SP1/SP2. If drivers are available from the vendors, we will update them on the GIGABYTE website."
I've not been able to locate a driver for it on the 'net' or Ubuntu or Gigabyte site specifically. I'm using Ubuntu 11.04 and Trisquel 4.5.1 right now. The latter is very nice for an all free GNU Distro. It's the easiest and simply works without having or adding any proprietary stuff.
