I am new to Ubantu, I am trying to install VLC media player. First I tried looking that in synaptic but I couldn't locate that, My synaptic is showing 1132 listed packages and 1099 installed. then I tried with command line drizzle@drizzle-laptop:~$ sudo apt-get install vlc [sudo] password for drizzle: E: Could not get lock /var/lib/dpkg/lock - open (11 Resource temporarily unavailable) E: Unable to lock the administration directory (/var/lib/dpkg/), is another process using it? drizzle@drizzle-laptop:~$ sudo apt-get install vlc Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree... Done Reading state information .. Done E: Couldn't find package vlc Can some one tell what the problem is? I am able to access internet through my mozilla. Thanks in advance ( categories: Installation )
