Question From A NOOMG WHAT IS THIS? (Universe repository install w/o Internet)

Hello All, I am a somewhat (i.e., very) new person to Ubuntu and Linux in general. THe install has so far gone very well, with everything running and all well (not to be confused with the All in the opening of the message)... Please, please excuse my bad jokes. 4 hours in front of alternating screens of Gnome and Windows have an odd effect on the mind... However, I have hit upon one difficulty. Whilst looking to get my Internet connection up, I have found a guide to configuring my hardware... Linky: url=https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WifiDocs/Driver/bcm43xx/Dapper... Fantastic! A couple of quick changes, some playing with that scary console thingy, and all is well... Sadly, as I should probably know by now with Linux, that was not to be so. "First, enable Universe repository" hmm, ok... The UNiverse repository requires... wait for it... an internet connection... So the question is (hopefully) simple. Where and how do I install repositories from, say, an external Hard Drive, or even CD? The customary Google searches have revealed nothing, so thus I turn to You... Many thanks if you can shed some light on it for me... LightOfDay                                        <edit: hmmm... for some reason, none of the line breaks have come out on this post. My apologies for the lack of formatting.>

Good luck, and I'm having trouble getting the line breaks to work properly as well. (Firefox 1.5.0.7)
