Starting Ubuntu from a USB stick?

Hi mates,

does anyone know how to start Ubuntu from a USB stick? What do I have to do, is there a manual somewhere? Or even a better, a completed image of Ubuntu 5.10 for that purpose?

have a look at http://d-i.pascal.at/

it's based on Debian and you can switch it to Ubuntu by bootstrapping it.
