VBox status code: -1908 (VERR_VM_DRIVER_NOT_INSTALLED).Result Code: 0x80004005Component: ConsoleInterface: IConsole {1dea5c4b-0753-4193-b909-22330f64ec45}how can i fix this? I am a starter so could you please explain it very well? thanks a lot!

Problem is you must install

Problem is you must install same virtualbox module version as your kernel. You can know your kernel version typing 'uname -a' in a terminal.    luis@luis-laptop:~$ uname -aLinux luis-laptop 2.6.24-19-generic #1 SMP Wed Jun 18 14:43:41 UTC 2008 i686 GNU/Linux    My kernel version is 2.6.24-19-generic, so. In my case I need to install that module version, typing 'sudo apt-get install virtualbox-ose-modules-2.6.24-19-generic' or clicking System>Administration>Synaptic Package Manager, search for it, and install.I recommend you to install 'virtualbox-ose-modules' because is the modules root and is synchronized with your actual kernel version (automatically upgrades version when your kernel upgrades).     Best Regards, Luis

oke thank you very much! I

oke thank you very much! I removed it first with the install/remove program. then i followed your instructions to install the kernel.. everything was oke! after that, I installed the application and started VirtualBox. now I get the following error by running xp:The VirtualBox kernel driver is not accessible to the current user. Make sure that the user has write permissions for /dev/vboxdrv by adding them to the vboxusers groups. You will need to logout for the change to take effect..VBox status code: -1909 (VERR_VM_DRIVER_NOT_ACCESSIBLE).Result Code: 0x80004005Component: ConsoleInterface: IConsole {1dea5c4b-0753-4193-b909-22330f64ec45} no permissions? how can i give permissions?

Adding yourself to Vbox users

Follow these steps:System > Administration > Users and Groups. Then press Unlock, type your password and  when you gain the acces go to Manage Groups. Find the "vboxusers" group (it's on the very bottom of the list), double-click on it and in the following menu add yourself to list of users.
