I am sitting in a room with four servers, two desktops, and three laptops. Not a single one of these machines has successfully installed a Linux distribution. We have tried SUSE, Debian, Knoppix, and Ubuntu. I will give you this Ubuntu did the best, but is still not functional. It took my son three weeks to get Ubuntu to recognize the wireless card in a Dell desktop, but it still won't recognize the router! Another thing I don't like is that the Linux distributions take 30% - 50% more RAM than my Windows OS. Until this system gets it's act together, I will continue to use XP and Vista. Too bad, I like the concept behind open source and Linux.
